dig out your brass - see if you can rustle up £20 without having to pawn anything of value
make a donation of the £20 at http://www.justgiving.com/Leith-Hill-Octopus-Cycle-Challenge
ride the Leith Hill Octopus - recording your individual time
email the times through to enquiries@leithhilloctopus.org with details of your donation (donor email/comment)
watch your figures appear on the leader board
recover slowly and spread the word for us rapidly
challenge your pals to turn out and match your result
since the event is highly repeatable, plan to do it again - one donation gets you unlimited opportunities to improve your time on the leader board
and keep eating those marmalade sandwiches.
